Artist Bio: Gen Gagnon
Gen is a Professional Art Therapist who studied at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute.
She has been working at CMHA-YT since 2020, providing individual counselling and art
therapy to youth and adults, and arts-based groups within the community. She has a
strong interest in arts empowerment; accessibility and equity; the intersections of
climate change and wellness; decolonization; and community-building through
intentional gatherings.
Gen feels fortunate to call the Yukon home since 2011. In her free time, she enjoys
crafting, eating delicious food, and spending time in the Yukon’s beautiful places
alongside loved ones and her canine sidekick Taiga.
Art for Wellness!
A new art experience to explore creativity through an art therapy lens. This is an
opportunity to experiment with artmaking as a means of supporting social connection,
self-discovery, and your well-being.
Gen Gagnon is a Professional Art Therapist who works as a Counsellor with the
Canadian Mental Health Association, Yukon Division.
No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.
This class will be $30 per person.
