TEAM YUKON 2024 - UPDATES

ERA has hosted our Fall Gathering this November 9th and we discussed some of the Canada 55+ Games Updates with Team Yukon.

Preliminary Information - Team Yukon 2024

The Canada 55+ Games is a significant multi-sport event with over 2500 participants from across the country competing in 26 different events. The Canada 55+ Games are open to adults aged 55 years and over as of December 31 of the year the Games are held.

The Games focus on the participants' social, physical and psychological well-being through participation in a multi-day event. The Games are held over four days in late August every two years. This year’s games will be held in Quebec City, Quebec. The schedule will follow as we progress towards the games.

Participate, compete, enjoy!

The Games offer opportunities for participation in various athletic, recreational and social events. Although the very nature of the Games is to declare a winner or winners, winning is secondary to the social side related to reuniting with friends from the Games’ past or meeting others, both on Team Yukon and across Canada. Who knows, you might meet up with a long-lost friend from the East Coast!

Over the Games, participants are treated to several days of competition, Opening Ceremony, Special Events, and a Closing Ceremony with a banquet and dance.
