ERA Activities at the Canada Games Center

Every Monday and Wednesday ERA hosts Senior's Day at the Canada Games Center. You MUST be an ElderActive Member to take part, and our Canada Games Center Policy is outlined below!

Activites include Pickleball, Carpet Bowling, Floor Shuffleboard, and Bocce.

Canada Games Center Passes Policy

General Policy for ERA Subsidies for Passes at the Canada Games Center

1. User MUST be a paid up member of ElderActive Recreation Association and eligible for the senior rate for entrance to the Canada Games Center (60 years or older OR be disabled and 55 years or older).

2. User pays at the ERA office their portion of the applicable pass. The office will issue a letter to the member. This letter is presented to the Canada Games Center, who will issue the pass and bill ElderActive Recreation Association. These letters are like cash – Do Not Lose Them

3. This subsidy is meant to help seniors to be active and enjoy regularly offered activities at the Canada Games Center. Any special program fees must be paid by the user.

Policy: For ERA subsidized 10 Punch Cards at the Canada Games Center

1. Member pays $45.00 to ERA for a 10-use punch card. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Canada Games Center, who will issue the pass.

2. The 10 use punch card is ONLY available once every 2-1/2 months (10 weeks). If more is needed, the member should purchase a monthly pass.

Policy: For ERA subsidized Yearly Disabled passes at the Canada Games Center.

1. A paid up member who wishes to purchase a yearly disabled pass to the Canada Games Center must submit a doctor's note (with the words permanent disability) to the ERA office and the Canada Games Center. The office will keep a copy on file.

2. Member pays ERA the sum of $200.00. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Canada Games Center, who will issue the pass.

3. The member must also prepay to ERA the yearly membership dues for the year in which the pass will end.

Policy: For ERA subsidized Regular Monthly passes at the Canada Games Center.

1. Member pays ERA the sum of $35.00. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Canada Games Center, who will issue the pass.

Policy: For ERA subsidized Regular Annual passes at the Canada Games Center.

1. Member pays ERA the sum of $325.00. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Canada Games Center who will issue the pass.

2. The member must also prepay to ERA the yearly membership dues for the year in which the pass will end.

Policy: For ERA subsidized CGC passes for members 90 years and older.

1. Punch Passes for paid ERA members 90 years and older will be 100% subsidized by ERA.

These prices are set at the discretion of the ERA Board of Directors as funds permit. This policy is in effect as of September 13, 2017, and is subject to change without notice or when the City rates increase.
